Hi Friends! I hope that you all are doing well. Today, I am bringing you a gift guide for Mother’s Day!!! Mother’s Day in the States is on May 12th this year. I know, I know everyday should be Mother’s Day and you are right, it should be but I take these special occasions to spoil the momma with some extra love.
I have rounded up a few of my favorite Mother’s Day gift items. I hope it helps!! I have selected items that I would buy for my mom, grandma, aunts and mom friends for mother’s day.
Beauty
This is the time to spoil her! All the countless things she does for us, these “gifts” honestly come nowhere close to making her feel appreciated but we can try.
Also, Sephora still has the Spring Sale ongoing until tomorrow. If you want more beauty ideas, click here.
Apparel & Shoes
Accessories
When it comes to apparel and accessories, I feel as though if you are unsure of what exactly the mother figure in your life prefers, gift cards are also a great alternative. If she is someone who use a digital watch, then a luxury strap might be a way to spoil her! Or getting her some silk pillow covers to make her sleeping experience wrinkle free.
Home
Kitchen gadgets are always a great gift idea as well! Especially things that make their cooking experience easy. You also can’t go wrong with any self care tools for your momma. The foot massager is a hit in our family and is great for moms (and rest of us) to unwind to.
Experiences
If you prefer to get your mom something different or outside of the traditional “gift” then try doing something special for her like:
- cooking her favorite meal
- helping clean around the house or getting a professional house cleaning service done
- taking her out for a meal at her favorite restaurant
- getting her a certificate to her favorite spa for massages, nail or facial
- getting her flowers or her favorite plant
- getting her favorite vino or taking her to a winery
- taking her to favorite museum or maybe plan a sightseeing venture
- baking something for her
- taking her to paint nite
- taking her to pottery class
- taking to a yoga class or maybe she prefers axe throwing or maybe going for a walk with her, you name it!
- booking her a staycation in her favorite city with a planned itinerary of her favorite things or top things in the city to do.
- If you are local to DC or Philly, try booking a boat cruise around the Potomac in DC or the Schuylkill in Philly
- Taking her to her favorite play or matinee show
- Sipping some tea, maybe spilling some tea or just having a heart to heart with her and letting her know how much you appreciate her.
The experiences will vary based on what your mother figure prefers but I hope the list was able to fire up your brain.
Wishing you and your mother figure a happy early mother’s day! Please share any ideas you may have in the comments below.
Until next time…
